ActionAid Uganda (AAU), a national development organization registered under the laws of Uganda and with a local Board seeks to recruit suitably qualified, self-driven, result-oriented candidates for the following positions: Projects Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Program Coordinator Sustainable Livelihoods, Project Coordinator Public Financing and Agriculture, Graduate Trainee and Driver. The successful candidates will be based at ActionAid Head Office in Kampala with frequent travels to our field offices.

Job Overview:
The successful candidate will provide Transport Services, Administrative and Other Logistical Support to Staff and Stakeholders in line with the AAU Policies and Procedures

Job Requirements:
• UACE or its equivalent, Training in; Defensive Driving,
Basic computer skills;
• Training in Basic Financial and Logistics Management is an added advantage.
• 3-5 years of driving with government/NGOS
• Good knowledge of;
- Traffic rules and regulations
- Country terrain
- Local communities
Skills and Abilities:
• Problem Sensitivity: Ability to analyze issues and identify problems
• Good Communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity.
Language/s:; He/She MUST be fluent in English, Luo and any other Local Language/s

Job Duties:
a) Drive staff, visitors, partners and other stakeholders to and from various destinations as per AAIU policies and procedures
b) Maintaining vehicles, generators and motor cycles in clean and good mechanical conditions in line with AAIU policies
c) Pick, deliver and account for all correspondences (mails, messages, parcels etc) in line with instructions and known office practice
d) Provide support to staff and other stakeholders in the field; photo up date and child message collection and deliveries as per their work plan and procedures
e) Plan and budget for the vehicle and provide other logistical support and prepare periodic
accountabilities
