ActionAid Uganda (AAU), a national development organization registered under the laws of Uganda and with a local Board seeks to recruit suitably qualified, self-driven, result-oriented candidates for the following positions: Projects Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Program Coordinator Sustainable Livelihoods, Project Coordinator Public Financing and Agriculture, Graduate Trainee and Driver. The successful candidates will be based at ActionAid Head Office in Kampala with frequent travels to our field offices.

Job Overview:
The successful candidate will provide overall leadership in Planning, implementation, Monitoring and evaluation of sustainable livelihoods work in line with CSP-IV and relevant organizational policies.

Job Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies or any other relevant degree from a reputable institution.
• A relevant post graduate qualification and training in rights based approaches, food security, participatory methods and policy analysis is an added advantage.
• At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience from a recognized institution

• Planning and budgeting
• Participatory methods PVA, TDI
• Governance, Women rights, gender and poverty analysis
• Project proposal development and Resource mobilization
• Human rights and democracy
• Civic education and empowerment
• Knowledge of International Humanitarian Sector Skills and Abilities:
• Good Communication skill
• Youth programming skills
• Report writing and Record keeping
• Awareness raisin skills
• Team work and team building skills
• High level of confidentially
• Good interpersonal skills
• People Management and team work
• Research methodologies, Policy analysis and formulation
• Partner capacity assessment and development
• Networking, partner mobilization and advocacy skills
• Contracts management
• Emergence assessment, deployment and response skills
• Conflict and Peace analysis/building skills
Language/s:
He/She MUST be fluent in English, Luo and any other Local Language/s

Job Duties:
a) Provide support and undertake resource mobilization tasks in line with CSP IV and organizational Policies
b) Develop, lead the implementation and monitoring of sustainable livelihood strategies for guiding planning and implementation, communicate and provide support to respective units in line with the CSP IV and organizational Policies
c) Monitor livelihoods programmes, communicate and consolidate reports and submit to policy manager in line with the organizational accountability systems’ requirements
d) Provide technical support and strengthen the capacity of staff and partners for quality programming in line with CSP IV and organizational Policies
e) Conduct contextual analysis, research and analyze policies for generation of evidence for policy advocacy and campaigns in line with the CSP and AA theory of change
f) Engage in and coordinate local, national and international policy advocacy and campaign work in line with AA theory of change
g) Mobilize, coordinate and support the building and strengthening networks, coalitions, alliances and relationships with other stakeholders at all levels (local, national, regional and international) in line with AAIU theory of change
h) Plan, coordinate and implement Emergency Response Interventions in line with organizational policies
