Welcome to Afrimax Uganda Ltd.  We are a newly launched ISP offering quality 4G wireless broadband Internet services to companies and households in Kampala. In future we will extend our network and service to other parts of the country.

We are part of the larger Afrimax Group with ISP operations in other African countries.

Job Overview:
Retail Sales Co-ordinator will be responsible for managing and supporting the team of sales persons working in the Company’s retail outlets. The desired candidate will ensure that the team meets its KPIs and the required standards and measures so as to meet the set goals. The job function involves improving performance and maintaining standards in service excellence through workforce scheduling, supervision, coaching and training of the retail team.

The main objective of the Retail Sales Co-ordinator is to ensure that all sales staff meet the service-related needs of everyone who comes into an Afrimax Uganda store.

Job Major Requirements:

  •     A bachelor’s degree in a business–related course
  •     Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Sales position
  •     At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position
  •     Excellent people-management, motivation and team building skills
  •     Excellent written and oral English language skills
  •     Highly proficient in all MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  •     Prior experience working for a retail company will be an added advantage
  •     Reporting skills
  •     Willingness to work long hours as and when required

  •     Customer  and service oriented
  •     Innovative and willing to learn
  •     Excellent communication and presentation skills
  •     Ability to plan, prioritise, monitor and take decisive action
  •     Possess a strong performance and results orientation
  •     Professional image/visibility

Job Duties:
  •     Manage retail staff, including cashiers and people working on the floor
  •     Oversee day-to-day operation of the stores
  •     Identify and recommend operational improvements to enhance quality of service and productivity
  •     Together with Marketing, work on store displays and layouts
  •     Coach, counsel, recruit and train employees
  •     Evaluate on-the-job performance
  •     Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers
  •     Ensure merchandise is clean and ready to be displayed
  •     Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock
  •     Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards
  •     Utilize information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning
  •     Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
  •     Organise staff schedules
  •     Run reports on sales performance for management
  •     Maintain the Afrimax Group brand in all interactions within the stores
