Job Description:
Mota-Engil is a multidisciplinary construction company that has had a relationship with Africa since it was first established and is looking to hire an IT Officer.

Job Duties;
·         Maintain both wired and wireless network infrastructure at the Head Office and Sites.
·         Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets at the Head Office and Sites.
·         Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software as per the set standards.
·         Investigate user computer related problems, identify the source of such problems, determine possible solutions, test and implement the solutions.
·         Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
·         Keep up-to-date on current IT trends and recommend innovative tools that will improve the end-users’ productivity.
·         Help the purchasing department verify specifications of IT materials that they may not correctly identify.
·         Keen on identifying skill gaps among end users with the ability to create tools to aid resolving or introducing new ways of performing certain tasks.
·         Maintain a database of all issues reported by the user and ability to make follow up to ensure full resolution of any reported problem
·         Liaise with different service providers to identify gaps noted in the service provided to be discussed and improvement planned for action.
·         Any other duty assigned by the IT Manager.

Character Attributes;
·         Willingness to spend time helping end users understand the best available tools to use.
·         Must be flexible to work out of the official working hours to answer to end users’ requests.

Requirements;
·         Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or a Degree or Diploma in a related field.
·         Microsoft Certification: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Administrator MCSE/A or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is a MUST.
·         Cisco Certified Network Associate is an added advantage.
·         ITIL Certification is an added advantage.
·         Analytical and problem solving skills are necessary.
·         1 - 2 years of experience in a very busy IT environment.
