About Us
Standard Chartered Bank Uganda is the longest established international bank in the country; the first branch was opened in August 1912. We had 11 branches up to 1972 and retained only one branch during the turbulence of the 70s. In 1998 we acquired 4 branches of former Cooperative Bank in November 1999. Standard Chartered Bank Uganda today has a network of 11 branches in Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Mbarara and Gulu. Standard Chartered Bank Uganda has 29 ATMs and over 600 staff.

Job Overview:
The successfulcandidate will provide  support to different business departments primarily to acquire knowlege and skills in the banking industry.

Job Requirements:
– Second year candidates who are required to undertake internship programmes
- Have a CGPA of 3.9 and above in their 1st & 2nd Seministar of Seond year
- Have been recommended on the Dean's List which is sent to the bank
- Maximum of Credit 6 in Maths & English at 'O' level
– Ability to learn fast and work in fast pace environment.
– Awareness and knowledge on protecting confidential customer data.
– High-Level of Computer Literacy.
- Passion to build a career in banking after University

Job Duties:
Handle duties assigned by supervisor according to bank processes, work flows and quality standards.  Some of the tasks covers the following:

– Review data, document and system consistency based on guidelines.
– Demonstrated previous work experience where it is required to be detailed and meticulous.
– Awareness and knowledge on protecting confidential customer data.
– Provide ad-hoc administrative support to supervisor
