About Us
Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) is a Public Limited Company which was incorporated on 26th March 2001. The Company operates under policy guidance of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.

UETCL is one of the three successor companies created as a result of the unbundling of Uganda Electricity Board (UEB). It is a public limited liability Company  owned by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

It has the operational mandate that is divided into the Single buyer business and Transmission system operator. It therefore undertakes bulk power purchases and sales, import and export of energy, operation of the High Voltage Transmission Grid and plays the national system operator role.

Job Overview:
The Senior Investigations Officer will conduct investigations into all activities of a criminal nature committed to the prejudice of Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited.

Job Requirements:

• The desired person should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Business Administration or Social Works and Administration.
• Significant experience in police criminal investigations at a Senior level not below rank of an Officer.
• Good report writing skills.
• Computer literacy skills
• Possess the ability to withstand stressful          work situations and have willingness to work long hours outside the normal hours.
• Proven ability in people management and interpersonal skills.
• Possession of a valid National Driving Permit is desired.
• Be a person of high integrity, must be highly motivated, innovative and a committed team player.

Job Duties:

• Investigation of all activities of a criminal nature committed to the prejudice of Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited.
• Investigate traffic accidents involving Company employees and the Motor Vehicle fleet, and submit report of such investigation accompanied with a Police traffic report.
• Inspect Company assets nationwide and submit security status reports.
• Control access to restricted premises of the Company.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
