Job Overview:
We are seeking the services of a well experienced and qualified individual to join a well reputed Telecommunication Company based in Kampala, Uganda
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Communications or Marketing; other degree holders with supplemental commercial education will also be considered.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position either within an organisation or working with an agency.
- Experience with all media disciplines/tools, such as: social media marketing/community management, display banner advertising.
- Relationship management with marketing communications agency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry is an advantage but not essential.
- Skilled in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct articles.
- Highly proficient in all MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database experience.
- Willingness to work long hours as and when required.
- Proven managerial or supervisory expertise within their current organisation

Job Duties:
- Managing the day-to-day internal and external communications and marketing activities of the organisation.
- Maintaining a strong brand; including impactful and fit-for-purpose publications, web site and social media.
- Monitoring and maintaining a communications plan reflecting all activities that have been approved by the management team and supporting the Head of Marketing in developing and updating this plan.
- Co-ordinating media and public affairs activities to promote the Company’s products and services to its different segment groups.
- Managing the day-to-day relationships with marketing and communications agencies.
- Developing and managing an active media relation’s strategy.
