About Us
Medical Mission started in 1958 to support the mission hospital in South Africa and India. That's why we called Medical Mission. Today our operations much more than health care. Our experience is that you can give to help themselves. Hundreds of former street children today live an ordinary life. Reading and writing courses for illiterate opens new paths. The trees planted changes the whole village. So it will be when we help ourselves are involved in the work. Our efforts are mainly directly with local partners. There are networks of committed people who live near them that may help.

Job Requirements:
•    A relevant Bachelor’s degree within Humanities, Social Sciences or Development Studies.
•    At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication both in English and French.
•    Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant field will be an added advantage
•    Regional experience

Person Specifications:
•    A creative individual who possesses energy, self-confidence, and flexibility; thrives in a dynamic multicultural environment.
•    Demonstrated understanding of Development Education concepts and Livelihoods development of the poor.
•    Should be adaptable, be a good team player and of high integrity.
•    Possess leadership qualities as well as excellent people and mentoring/coaching skills.
•    Should be willing to travel extensively locally and regionally.
•    Hold Christian ethos.

Job Duties:
•    Key to the role is to ensure that the overall regional programs are consistent with LM:s mission, Focus Areas and methods.
•    In close cooperation with local partners, increase the quality in all aspects of the project such as the actual program, the financial reporting, narrative reports, etc.
•    Apart from following up existing interventions, actively look for new project ideas and partnerships for potential future interventions or enhancement of existing projects.
•    Strengthen and develop the relations with in-field project partners and ensure that they continuously develop their competence and capacity.
•    Develop funding proposals and periodic reports to funding agencies and ensure that institutional objectives are performed in cooperation with partner organizations.
•    Ensuring that LM has a comprehensive approach towardsdevelopment and qualitative synergy between project components in a way that several components relevant to LM focus areas are represented in a project/program and thus forms a value chain that transports benefi ciaries towards a better living situation.
•    Networking with likeminded NGOs, and fi rms. Create platforms for exchange and encourage partner organizations both locally and regionally to network more actively.
