Job Description:
The Credit Manager will support the growth of the branch Asset portfolio, business activities and initiatives to enable achievement of bank’s business objectives.

Job Requirements:

•     The ideal candidate for the aforementioned banking job should hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business discipline from a recognized university
•     Professional course in Banking, Credit Management, Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage.
•     Three or more years’ working experience in credit with at least a year at supervisory or management level.
•     Excellent communication/interpersonal skills (both written and oral)
•     Ability to negotiate business
•     Leadership and people management skills
•     Excellent analytical and decision making skills
•     Proven track record in delivering Sales targets

Job Duties:

•     Primarily responsible for achievement of the overall Asset portfolio growth and quality for the branch.
•     Set targets and manage the Performance of all the credit staff within the branch in accordance with the branch business plan and credit policy
•     Conduct appraisal and account relationship management for all SME/Corporate,
•     Retail & Consumer customers in the branch
•     Act as an alternate Chair of the branch credit committee meetings and is responsible for risk assessment of alt the loans disbursed for the branch.
•     Manage the monitoring of the branch loan portfolio including loans in arrears and ensure proper follow up and evidence of follow up is maintained on the customers’ credit files
•     Ensure full compliance and adherence to credit policies and procedures for all the loans disbursed within the branch.
•     Mentor, train and coach all the credit staff within the branch.
•     Ensure optimal staffing and supervision of all the credit staff within the branch.
•     Cross sale other products and services of the Bank to increase the Bank’s income streams from existing customers.
