Job Overview:
Oncology Program, at the Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam, offers Prevention, Screening, Diagnostics, Chemotherapy infusion Program, Breast Centre, Cancer Surgery, Pain and Symptoms management. Our Support services offer dietary and counseling to patients and families, through individual and group sessions. We are seeking a medical oncologist to join our team.

Job Requirements:
Academic Qualifications:
Masters in Medicine or qualification such as M.D, M.S, M. Med, Msc. Oncology or equivalent in relevant field of specialization 1 super - specialization with active clinical role and ongoing academic engagement within the hospital setup.

Experience:
• At least 1-year of experience post successful completion of the residency program (including medical clearance through relevant exam).
• 3 years or more of relevant post Masters experience
• Teaching experience in a recognized Medical College or Teaching hospital would be a definite asset.
• Candidate must be committed to patient and family-centered care, and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.

Job Duties:
The selected candidate will give medical oncology care with consultation and chemotherapy infusion.
Work towards human resource development and training needed within the division of oncology.
Collaborate with ORCI, AKUH,N and oncology surgeon in giving state of the art oncology care.
Work in team with nursing, pharmacy, cancer registrar, palliative care, and hospital staff.
The selected candidate will also be '1 responsible for participating in teaching junior staff, institutional initiatives by taking an active role in the hospital's' Y academic, administrative, and quality agendas.
