Job Overview:
The UWASH Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant will implement the Project’s performance Monitoring & Evaluation system, maintain information/data base for management purposes in line with World Vision Uganda mission.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Development Studies/Statistics discipline or any other related field.
- Possess the ability to work in a team to achieve excellence in execution, committed, accountable and passionate about the work we do.
- At least two years’ field experience in research, data collection, entry, analysis and reporting.
- Extensive Knowledge and understanding of statistical and qualitative data analysis packages eg. SPSS, Epi-info, Nvivo etc is desirable.
- Past experience working with WASH projects will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel and Access)
- Detailed knowledge of GPS mapping software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Job Duties:
- In conjunction with CDFs administer the project performance M&E tools to track indicators in line with the project Log frame, Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and M&E Plan.
- Offer technical support for implementing the approved project community response mechanism including Community Help Desks (CHD).
- Conduct data collection using tools prescribed under the different M&E methods including; surveys, focus-group discussions, individual interviews, etc, on beneficiaries including women, and other stakeholders.
- Perform data processing and entry and conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis & preparation of M&E reports that will allow for an enhanced understanding of the project indicators.
- Maintain all records and reports relevant to the project and provide support to the M&E Coordinator.
- Make sure that management and monitoring information is fed back to project management to aid objective decision making;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Regional Coordinator and M&E Coordinator UWASH Project.
